- One of the 'Lonely Planet' series on BBC TV included a wonderful section on a great grey owl silently gliding over a snowy landscape. That inspired me to produce this picture, trying to capture the cold, the stillness and the owl in flight. I think owls are just great. I have a friendly barn owl who regularly hunts over the fields behind my house.
